I started this blog several years to make a record of some of the things that I have stitched whether it be knit, sewing or cross stitch. I also like to come up with ideas for gifts for family members. I also have included some of my writing but not all of it. Just a little rambling sometimes. When I was a child I loved to visit my great aunt in Somerset Kentucky. So many wonderful memories come back when I think of that time.

Hi, I saw your comment today on my blog about your efforts to learn to tat with a shuttle. What messes most people up is that the wrap of the thread starts on the thread in one hand, but must "pop" over to the thread coming off the shuttle. There are some wonderful video tutorials on YouTube. If you think you might like to try it again, check some of them out. There are a few links on the beginner page at my blog, but you'll find many more with a YouTube search. You are sure to find at least one that offers you a comfortable way to hold your threads and make the knot. Thanks for visiting my blog.
