I am very proud of this project. It is made from merino superwash yarn and had over 500 beads on the front. I think if I made it again I would choice darker beads so they would show up better. But my daughter wanted to the color and beads as close to the original as possible.
I started this blog several years to make a record of some of the things that I have stitched whether it be knit, sewing or cross stitch. I also like to come up with ideas for gifts for family members. I also have included some of my writing but not all of it. Just a little rambling sometimes. When I was a child I loved to visit my great aunt in Somerset Kentucky. So many wonderful memories come back when I think of that time.

This is the Mithril Vest that I knitted for my daughter. She had requested one after seeing the pattern on Ravelry. This is by Susan Pandorf of Sunflower Designs I purchased her ebook last year as a Christmas present for myself. There were so many beautiful designs it was hard to decide which one to start with. My daughter made that decision for me.
